Employing Our Heroes: Millis Transfer Welcomes Military

According to the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Association, more than 26,000 military servicemen and women are participants in the Military Skills Test Waiver Program, an initiative that allows the brave men and women of our armed forces, who operate heavy military vehicles, to obtain a CDL without taking the driving test. The program, available in every state, is helping to transform the transition from military to private sector work and is giving a new face to the American truck driver, one that reflects the values and dedication of our service heroes.

A true red, white, and blue initiative, what could be better than utilizing the skills learned in service to help accelerate a great position in the private sector? Millis Transfer is proud to recognize the hard work of our military members and is pleased to offer opportunities to both our veterans and those currently serving our country. As part of this effort, Millis Transfer has put together a special incentive package, one that rewards military service by offering great pay, terrific benefits, and access to some of the best equipment in the industry.

At Millis Transfer, we appreciate your sacrifices. That’s why, we also offer low cost admission to our CDL-A school, where recruits have access to one-on-one training. Even better, our recruits have the advantage of employment with Millis Transfer upon completion of their training. Give us a call today at 1-800-937-0880 to learn more about joining the team.
