Start the New Year with a Trucking Career – Millis Training Institute

There’s no better time than the New Year to start a new trucking career. Even if you’re transitioning from a completely different industry, you can attend Millis Training Institute and start down a new career path in about the same time it takes to complete one college semester. Here’s what the process entails.

Apply

It’s easy to apply at Millis Training Institute. Before you do so, call the truck driving school you plan to attend to receive current information about class availability and financial assistance. There are locations in Hamilton, Ohio; Cartersville, Georgia; Richfield, Wisconsin; and Burleson, Texas.

To be accepted, you must meet these qualifications:

  • Be 21 years or older
  • Receive a DOT physical
  • Read, write and speak English
  • Have no major accidents or moving violations on your driver’s license from the last five years
  • Have a high school diploma

Find an Open Slot

Even with four different locations to choose from, Millis Training Institute fills up fast. Classes are small to ensure high-quality instruction. You can expect plenty of one-on-one time with your instructors, but that means finding an open slot may take some time. This is likely to be your only delay in getting started, so look into openings soon to secure a spot when you’re ready!

Explore Financial Assistance

Once accepted, you must pay an upfront cost of $500. Financing up to $2,000 is available to cover additional costs. It’s easier to pay tuition at Millis Training Institute compared to other driving schools because you get paid while you learn. Expect to earn:

  • $71.50 per day for days 1-21
  • $78.50 per day for days 22-35
  • $85.75 per day for the rest of training

Complete Training

In as little as four weeks, you’re on your way to becoming a professional driver. The program at Millis Training Institute includes time in the classroom, one-on-one training behind the wheel, safe driving instruction and company orientation. You’ll stay busy learning vital material every weekday during your training.

Get Hired

After successful completion of the training program, Millis Transfer will offer you employment with the company. That means, as long as you focus and do well at Millis Training Institute, you can count on little to no downtime between ending your training and starting your new truck driving career.

If you have what it takes to live the exciting life of a truck driver, Millis Transfer is here to help you have a long, healthy and successful career. To learn more about how to become a paid tourist, call (800) 937-0880, or visit www.mtidriving.com.
