  • Spend the first week in the classroom learning about the trucking industry, regulations, safety, trip planning, coupling and uncoupling, vehicle inspections and more.
  • Week two includes four days practicing on the range and out on the road. You can expect at least 40 hours behind the wheel in full control of the big rig with an instructor at your side. One additional day in the classroom wraps up the week.
  • The third week, you spend all your time on the road with your trainer practicing safe driving habits and getting a good feel for being a truck driver.
  • The fourth and potentially final week you go through company orientation, which lasts three days.

The education you receive at Millis Training Institute gives you all the tools you need to obtain your CDL and apply for a top-paying job as a professional truck driver. You’ll retain the information you garner from truck driving school for a lifetime.
